Every year, the month of March is National Reading Month, with March 2nd designated as National Read Across America Day. The day was established by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading.

BTES will celebrate these events with our own "Read Across America" week. From February 28–March 4th, students can come to school dressed to match a book theme! Uniforms are not required, but clothing must be school-appropriate.

Students will also participate in a Reading Counts contest, play book bingo and trivia, and create their own bookmarks and book trailers!
